Monty Sharma is the nephew of Shri Pyarelal Sharma of (Laxmikant Pyarelal fame). Monty Sharma started his career as a professional keyboard player with Laxmikant Pyarelal for the film “ Mr. India “ at the age of 16 yrs and continued to play for more than 200 films approximately 500 in most of the Indian languages and worked with all the well known Music Directors like Laxmikant Pyarelal, R.D Burman , Rajesh Roshan, Nadeem Shravan, Jatin Lalit, Anu Malik, Ismail Durbar, Sanjeev Darshan for films like :

Singlehandedly, Monty Sharma has worked with a 100 piece orchestra fusing the Western Classical Instruments such as violin, cellos, trumpet, trombone, horns etc. in western harmony with Indian classical instruments, such as tabla, dholak, flute, sarangi, sitar etc, and African instruments such as zembe, taiko, drums etc. to create the most powerful form of fusion ever done before.

Monty Sharma used 3 sections of voices such as western choir (in groups of 36 singers). Indian Classical voices (in groups of 36 singers & solo) which nobody has done before.

Monty Sharma has also scored music for two Hollywood based production houses..for films” My Bollywood Bride” and” Exitz”.

Monty Sharma became a successful Music Director with Internationally acclaimed super hit Sanjay Leela Bhanshali film “BLACK”.

At present working in a few International albums for companies in the U.K, South Africa & Mauritius and Big Banner Hindi films under production.

He was a member on the panel of judge’s of the popular reality show STAR Voice of India 2
